5 Coffee Myths... Or Are They?
Today's article from iVillage.com written by TODAY nutritionist Joy Bauer addresses 5 common caffeine-related misconceptions. To summarize quickly:
- Three cups of coffee daily helps retain memory - TRUE (especially if you're a woman)
- Coffee and exercise may prevent skin cancer - MAYBE (but it makes sense, so I'm claiming it to be true.)
- Coffee is a potent diuretic - FALSE (so drink as much as you want)
- Energy drinks have more caffeine than coffee - FALSE (plus, coffee's better tasting anyway... have you tried some of those energy drinks? Yucck!)
- Coffee can enhance your workout - TRUE (and I still see Gatorade and water bottles at the gym!)
My conclusion after reading this article? Good thing for Andiamo Coffee!
