Greater Queens Job Service Employer Committee Announces Recruitment and Retention Seminar
The Greater Queens Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC) will be holding a seminar on November 8th, 2006 from 8:30am to 11:00am entitled "Recruitment and Retention: Becoming an Employer of Choice" that all business owners should not miss.
Sponsored by 1-800-Mattress, this seminar will discuss ways to improve recruitment and retention, including recruitment methods, how often you should review your recruitment process, branding your organization’s image as “the Employer of Choice,” creating a strategic plan and career ladders, behavioral interviewing, fair employment offers with meaningful employee incentives, and employee retention strategies.
It's also has been approved for 1.5 recertification credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Eligible attendees will receive the certificate of attendance and program code number at the conclusion of the session.
An impressive panel for the event is in place and includes the likes of Michael Armstrong of Freshdirect, Kathy Desmond of 1-800-Mattress, Tonya Drayton of Toys "R" Us, and Darrell Wheeler of Hunter College with Lawrence Williams of St. John's University as the moderator.
